WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR SKIN TREATMENT:

We recommend that clients adhere to the following at least 3 days before treatment:
Avoid sun exposure before treatment. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.
Do not bleach, wax, tweeze or use depilatory creams in the treatment area.
Discontinue use of retinoid (Retin A, Tazorac, Differin, etc.) and Hydroquinone products.
Discontinue use of 10% or higher Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, Glycolic Acids, and exfoliants.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR SKIN TREATMENT:
For 12 Hours after treatment: No heavy makeup
For 24 Hours after Treatment: No swimming, No facial waxing
For 48 Hours after treatment: No sauna, sun beds or sun exposure
No ‘Botox’, Collagen injections or dermal fillers
For 72 Hours after treatment: Do not use AHA’s, Glycolics, or Retinol.
Do not use exfoliating products, the newly abraded skin is receptive to any products applied, so the use of any exfoliants after treatment can irritate the skin.
Redness might be present (and last up to several hours)
Use Tylenol only as needed for any soreness.
Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours.

AT ALL TIMES DURING A COURSE OF TREATMENTS:​
SPF 15 minimum must be applied and exposure to UV should be avoided.
Regular moisturizer applications are vital to replenish moisture and prevent the skin becoming dry and peeling.
Products must be between pH 4.5 and 7 Skin care products that contain a high percentage of botanicals and essential oils are UNSUITABLE for use after microdermabrasion treatment as some of the ingredients contained may cause an allergic reaction. Should this occur, there is a real danger of both the therapist and client thinking that it is the treatment they are allergic to, where it is actually the ingredients within the skin care preparations. It is important that products are used that replace or add moisture back to the skin to stop the skin becoming dry or peeling.
BOTOX/DERMAL FILLERS:
Allow 14 days before performing microdermabrasion, including any touch up injections, to allow botox/fillers to settle.
SHAVING:
Men should close shave the night before a treatment if the treatment is in the morning or in the morning if the treatment is in the afternoon.
LASER TREATMENTS:
A course of laser treatments cannot run concurrently with a course of microdermabrasion treatments. Please allow at least 2 weeks before commencing microdermabrasion after completing a course of Laser.

Discontinue use of exfoliating products (ie: Retinol, Accutane, AHA, BHA, etc.) 2 weeks before your treatment
Avoid caffeine/stimulants up to 4 hrs before your treatment
Arrive with clean face & lashes (no eye makeup)
Avoid oil based products on & around the eyes before treatment
Plan to workout/shower before your treatment as you should avoid sweating & hot showers after
Ask for a patch test
Wear comfy clothes
Bring headphones if you want to listen to music
Take your contacts out
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR LASH/BROW TREATMENT:
Be gentle, no rubbing your lashes/brows for the next 24-48 hrs
Try to sleep on your back for the next 2 days at least
Avoid moisture & excessive steam, do not get your lashes wet for the next 24 hrs
Do not use shampoos, conditioners, makeups, creams, eye serums or oils on the lashes or
around the eye area for first 24 hours
Avoid strong, oil-based makeup remover for the next 48 hrs
Avoid waterproof mascaras
Avoid exfoliating cleansers or those products containing AHA’s and oil
WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR INJECTIONS:
Arrive early to fill out our intake forms
Avoid caffeine & anything else that can dehydrate you 24 hrs before appointment as this slows healing time
Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to procedure as this can increase the risk for bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s)
Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal creams in the area(s) to be treated
Eat a small meal or a snack before your appointment
Avoid taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Nuprin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®, Fish oil, Ginko Biloba, St. John’s Wort and high doses of vitamin E for 7-10 days prior to procedure, as these may cause increase risk of bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s). Regular multi-vitamin and Tylenol® is permitted (If not contraindicated).
Take Tylenol® (if not contraindicated) 1 hour prior to your appointment to help with any discomfort you may have, if you have concerns about discomfort.
If you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, make sure you inform the doctor that you have made your appointment with, one week prior to your appointment; this will allow us adequate time to prescribe a medication to prevent an outbreak.
Sunburn skin is difficult to treat so avoid exposure to the sun.
Avoid any type of facial, microdermabrasion, or massage for 14 days after treatment.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR INJECTIONS:
Avoid itching, or picking around the injection site
Avoid applying intense heat to the treated area, that includes hot tubs, saunas, sunbathing or tanning
Don't drink alcohol the day of treatment, and try to avoid it for 2 days after
Avoid exercising for 2 days or until swelling subsides
