COVID-19 Safety Protocols

COVID UPDATE:


PROOF OF VACCINATION CLARIFICATION

At this time Personal Service Establishments are not mandated to accept proof of vaccination upon entry or booking.

So we will NOT be requiring proof of vaccination as of Sept.13 2021

As per Dr. Bonnie Henry, rate of transmission in personal service establishments remain low, so we have remained open since the first lockdowns were lifted in 2020.

Mint Smilebar has not had a single COVID outbreak amongst clients and staff since the beginning of the pandemic and follow all recommendations from WCB and Health Authorities very diligently.

We are monitoring this closely and will keep you updated with any new developments.

DISINFECTION & SANITATION:

We will continue to use medical grade disinfectants. Our disinfectant is approved by Coastal Health and fights against the human coronavirus. Our floors are bleached daily. High volume and frequently touched areas such as door handles, will be sanitized multiple times a day. Everything we use for the service is SINGLE USE and disposable, we do not reuse anything. Teeth whitening stations, sinks and treatment room will be sanitized and disinfected after each use.

 

FREQUENT HANDWASHING/SANITIZING:

We have always asked clients to wash/sanitize their hands prior to the start of each session and we will continue to do so. Please make sure to wash/sanitize your hands after you use the bathroom. Sink area (for teeth whitening): Please wash your hands after you rinse. A cup is provided for you, please don't use your hands for rinsing.

 

INTAKE FORMS:

Consent forms must be completed online before you arrive for your appointment. A link to our consent form will be included in the appointment confirmation email.

 

APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION:

If you are experiencing symptoms, you would need to reschedule your appointment. You will not be charged the cancellation fee if you reschedule. Please be courteous and inform us, we are operating at limited capacity and there are people on wait list. We reserve the right to fill your spot if you are unable to make it. No shows will be charged.

 

MASKING OPTIONAL:

As of  Mar. 11, 2022 masking is optional upon entering and exiting the Smile Bar. Techs will be masked during service.

 

​PERSONAL BELONGINGS:

Only bring necessities with you to your appointment. Please leave large personal belongings (such as coats in your car).

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING:

We will be operating at limited capacity. Appointments will be arranged to ensure social distancing. Please DO NOT BRING ANYONE WITH YOU. Arrive at your appointment at the exact time. If you arrive early, and we are at max capacity you will be asked to wait outside.

 

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY:

We usually operate by appointment only. If you would like to come in on the same day, please call us first to make sure we are not at capacity.

 

WASHROOMS:

Always remember to wash your hands after going to the washroom.

It is best to use your washroom at home prior to coming for your appointment, but if that's not possible, please check out our washroom protocols:

Port Moody Location: We have a washroom in-suite that is cleaned daily. Please use the toilet seat covers provided for you and dispose of it in the trash can after each use.

​

Downtown Location: We are located inside International Village Mall we do not have an in-suite washroom. You are free to use the mall’s (semi private) tenant’s only washroom. It is located in the handicap washroom in the second floor, you must buzz the intercom, technician will provide you with a washroom pass. In an effort to keep the tenant washroom clean, please inform us if it’s unsanitary, so we can send cleaners up to clean it.
