MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy is minimally invasive treatment that works by making controlled micro-injuries using surgical grade microneedles that triggers the body’s spontaneous healing response. The healing cascade invades the treated area with collagen producing fibroblasts, new collagen and elastin then forms from within treating a wide variety of skin concerns such as: scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues.

Where other scar and anti-aging treatments are ablative (destroying tissue), microneedling uses atraumatic (non-traumatic) perforations to gently trigger the generation of new tissue.

It boasts the fastest motor on the market and can safely glide over the skin without scratching or tearing the skin. Poor quality micro-needling pens which operate at a slower insertion rate can cause scratches and micro-tears in the tissue as the tip moves across the face. The result can be increased epidermal damage and increased risk of infection. Don’t be mislead by other devices that boast “the most needles”. Though we want to maximize the number of perforations, too many needles compromises the safety and comfort of the treatment and involve a dangerous, uncomfortable amount of pressure in order to penetrate the skin to the appropriate depth.
